History

 

Founded in 1955, Charles M Callahan Jr. moved from Boston to the middle of the state as the Massachusetts Turnpike was being built. Charlie established the business in Palmer and erected an asphalt plant with an eye on developing one of the most successful hot mix asphalt and construction firms in the region.
In the years following, the company grew to become a prominent construction company providing raw materials and hot mix asphalt as well as road construction services through the communities of Central/Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.

Now well into its second generation of family management, our company takes pride in knowing that the business their founder built has strong and binding roots to the communities in which we live and work.
